LEXUS "HS250h" in North America chooses the Eco Friendly Tire, PROXES A20 for Hybrid model
Osaka, Japan - 21 August, 2009 - TOYO TIRE & RUBBER Co. Ltd. (President and CEO: Kenji Nakakura) hereby announces that it has started delivering its eco-friendly tire, "PROXES A20" to LEXUS Hybrid model, "HS250h". This model will be launched in this summer in North America.
The philosophy of LEXUS is "Pursuit of Perfection" The name "HS250h" comes from "Harmonious Sedan", which is the theme of HS250h. This car achieves significant fuel efficiency as a premium sedan with hybrid system.
To achieve the excellent fuel efficiency of "HS250h", we developed tires with improved lower rolling resistance and superior silence.
Rolling resistance = Resistance acting opposite to the direction of travelling.
