Toyo Tire Corporation (hereinafter, “Toyo Tire”) and its U.S. tire sales subsidiary, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. are delighted to announce that Bryce Menzies and his team have won the Best in the Desert series Vegas to Reno 2020, a four-day off-road race event that took place from August 12 to August 15 in Nevada, U.S.A. Menzies repeated his 2019 performance to clinch his second consecutive overall victory with OPEN COUNTRY tires.

At approximately 880 km in length, the Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno is known as the longest off-road race in the United States. It departs the city of Las Vegas in Nevada’s southwest, passing through the merciless terrain of desert desolate dry lands and jagged rocky hills to reach Reno in the state’s northwest.
Toyo’s OPEN COUNTRY MT-R tires demonstrated outstanding durability and performance at the very demanded race, which helped Menzies to shave about 20 minutes off his 2019 time and cross the finish line at least eight minutes ahead of the second-place vehicle to secure his second consecutive victory in the race.
Menzies was delighted with his back-to-back win and commented, “As a Las Vegas native nothing makes me happier than winning Vegas to Reno. It’s a great race and BITD did a fantastic job of ensuring it happened this year given all the uncertainty. With two wins stateside, I’m looking to get back down to Baja and keep the momentum going!”
Going forward, Toyo Tire will continue to enhance its brand equity by participating in off-road races and other events to further raise its presence in the pick-up truck and SUV tire market.
