Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp. Receives Manufacturer of the Year Award
July 5, 2004 OSAKA, JAPAN - Toyo Tire & Rubber Co., Ltd. (president: Yoshio Kataoka) today announced that Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp. (Cyprus, California, U.S.A.; president: Shozo Kibata), a U.S. tire marketing subsidiary of Toyo Tire & Rubber Co., Ltd., became the first company in the tire industry to be honored with the Manufacturer of the Year award at the International Auto Salon held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, U.S.A. The award was presented by the Sport Compact Council (SCC) of SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association), the host organization for the International Auto Salon.
The Manufacturer of the Year award is given each year by SCC, one of the councils of SEMA, to the manufacturer in the sport compact field that made the most significant contribution. It is presented to only one automotive parts maker each year.
Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp. exhibits products at the SEMA Show every year in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A.
