Changes to Trade Names of Subsidiary and Second-tier Subsidiaries
OSAKA, JAPAN - December 26, 2007 - TOYO TIRE & RUBBER Co., LTD. (President and CEO: Yoshio Kataoka) hereby announces its decision to change the trade names of its subsidiary and three second-tier subsidiaries in the United States of America.

3.Reason for the changes
Toyo is aiming to bolster the functions of its umbrella organization in the United States of America, the pure holding company Toyo Tire International Inc., increasing efficiency in North American operations while also strengthening structures for corporate governance. Corporate value in the North American market will be boosted by moving strategic planning and supply chain management functions to ground level and thus enhancing managerial speed in closer proximity to the marketplace. The name changes are being made as part of this augmentation of overall management functions. Toyo Tire will continue working to enhance its brand position through timely provision of top quality products and highly creative marketing and sales activities.
