OSAKA, JAPAN - April 15, 2008 - TOYO TIRE & RUBBER Co., LTD. (President and CEO: Kenji Nakakura) hereby announces that the company is going to participate in Auto China 2008, which will be held at the New China International Exhibition Center (NCIEC) in Beijing over the nine-day period from Sunday, April 20 to Monday, April 28. (The corresponding period for the component and parts part of the exhibit is Sunday, April 20 to Friday, April 25.)

Since its first installment in 1990, this motor show has been held once every two years. It has expanded with each installment, along with the fast-paced growth of China's auto industry. For this, the tenth in the series, the show has been moved to the aforementioned Center, which has an exhibition space of about 160,000 square meters, or about 30 percent more than the former site. During its run, the show is expected to attract about 700,000 visitors.

The display at our booth will feature products from the PROXES series, our global brand of ultra-high-performance tires (including PROXES CT01, PROXES T1R, and the semi-racing tire PROXES R888) as well as the M301A, M188, and M140 truck and bus tires embodying the best in safety and durability. The booth will showcase the high quality and originality that are the very hallmarks of the TOYO TIRES brand. It will also exhibit and introduce the TRANPATH MP4, a tire which we developed especially for minivans and will be making its first-ever appearance in the Chinese market.

Through the exhibit, we hope to raise the status of our brand in the Chinese market even higher.
