Toyo Tire Europe Supporting a team in Trans-Orientale Rally
OSAKA, JAPAN - June 11, 2008 - TOYO TIRE & RUBBER Co., LTD. (President and CEO: Kenji Nakakura) announces that Toyo Tire Europe GmbH, its European tire sales subsidiary, is providing off-road tire support for a team entered in the Trans-Orientale Rally, which is being held over the seventeen-day period from Thursday, June 12 to Saturday June 28.

Pro-System Racing (Driver: Eric Vigouroux)
The team is supplied with TOYO OPEN COUNTRY M/T-R tires (37.0 x 13.50R17) and competing hard for top placing in the Rally.
The Trans-Orientale Rally started in St. Petersburg, Russia and has since crossed into Kazakhstan and will conclude in Beijing, China. The total distance of the rally is 10,726 km (including 3,713km special stages).
Eric Vigouroux took second place in the FIA Optic 2000 Rallye de Tunisie, which began on April 23 and finished on May 3. His strong result means he started the Trans Orientale rally as number 1 seed car. We hope that TOYO TIRES high performance will be proved with the good record in this rally.
