TOYO TIRES Supports the Fourth 24 Hours of Dubai
OSAKA, JAPAN - January 8, 2009 - TOYO TIRE & RUBBER Co., LTD. (President and CEO: Kenji Nakakura) hereby announces that it will be the main sponsor for the fourth "TOYO TIRES 24 hours of Dubai". The race, which was also sponsored by Toyo Tire & Rubber last year, will be held over three days from January 8 (Thursday) to January 10 (Saturday), 2009, at the Dubai Autodrome Circuit in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Now entering its fourth year of operation, the TOYO TIRES 24 hours of Dubai attracts a lot of participants from all over the world and this year will count over 80 drivers from around 30 countries such as those from the European Continent, Southeast Asia, and Australia as well as the local UAE participants, which features the international characters of the race.
This time, some race cars such as Audi R8 of the Audi CR8 Project Team participating from the Netherlands are equipped with TOYO TIRES Proxes RS1 slick tires.
By providing major sponsorship for races such as this, Toyo Tire & Rubber hopes to raise its brand recognition and contribute to the growth of motor sports.
