The Fourth Edition 24h Car Race of Dubai Toyo Tires was delivered to all over the world
Osaka, Japan- January 21, 2009- TOYO TIRE & RUBBER Co., LTD. (President and CEO : Kenji Nakakura) hereby announces that it was successfully a main sponsor(refer to Press Release No. 1046) for the "Fourth Edition TOYO TIRES 24h Car Race of Dubai". The race was held over 3 days from January 8 (Thursday) to January 10 (Saturday), 2009, at the Dubai Autodrome circuit in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The race saw extremely heated competition. The Audi R8 from team Audi CR8, the Evo X from Mitsubishi UK equipped with our slick tire, PROXES RS1 and around 80 other cars from all over the world competed with one another for the crowning victory under the blessed sun.
LAND MOTORSPORT2 PORCHE 997 GT3 from Germany was crowned with the victory.
This race was the 4th 24h Dubai race, and this event saw more than double the participants of the 1st event. The race is experiencing growing popularity and is drawing increasing attention.
The race was broadcast and delivered all over the world through TV and magazine interviews, and TOYO TIRES brand was widely broadcasted.
By providing major sponsorship for races such as this, Toyo Tire & Rubber hopes to raise its brand recognition and contribute to the growth of motor sports.
