Mazda chooses Eco-Friendly Tires "PROXES R32" "TOYO J48" for the all new Mazda Axela.
Osaka, Japan - July 6, 2009 - TOYO TIRE & RUBBER Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Kenji Nakakura) announces that it has started delivering its eco-friendly tires, "PROXES R32" and "TOYO J48" to the all new Mazda Axela (known as the new Mazda3 overseas) for domestic market and some certain overseas markets. The Axela has been launched on June 6.
"PROXES R32" and "TOYO J48" are developed for the all new Axela. These tires are with improved lower rolling resistance, superior silence and sporty performance.
The new Mazda Axela is one of the Mazda's mainstay models. It is an eco-sports car combining advanced and excellent performance in environmental, safety and travelling. Also, it has been fully redesigned and updated including the "i-stop" engine stop/start system.
Rolling resistance = Resistance acting opposite to the direction of travelling.
