Toyo Tires’ Australian Subsidiary Concludes Sponsorship Agreement with Australian Rules Football Team
Osaka, Japan – 25 February, 2016 –Toyo Tires announces that its Australian subsidiary Toyo Tyre & Rubber Australia Ltd. ("TAL"; Michael Rudd, president) has concluded a sponsorship agreement with the Greater Western Sydney GIANTS Australian rules football team.

As one of the main sponsors of the GIANTS, TAL will display the company logo on the team’s uniforms and engage in various marketing activities featuring the team’s players. TAL further plans to collaborate with the team on social media as a way of boosting the Toyo Tires brand recognition and image in the local tire market.
The Australian Football League has a rich history that spans over 100 years, and the GIANTS are an up-and-coming team that joined the league in 2012. The team is based in the western part of Sydney, which boasts Australia's third largest economy. In this year's 2016 Toyota AFL Premiership season league play, fans are highly hopeful that the GIANTS will rise to the top of the standings, and the team's goal is to advance to the playoffs contested among the top eight teams at the end of league play.
Australian football is known for its distinctive rules and style of play, and the sport enjoys tremendous popularity among the people of Australia. The company believes that this sponsorship agreement with the GIANTS will contribute to improving Toyo Tires' brand presence in Australia and provide the brand with a major advantage in the medium term.
