(Information) TOYO TIRES Participates in the 2020 D1GP Series
Hyogo, Japan – June 11, 2020 – Toyo Tire Corporation will be participating in the “2020 D1 Grand Prix Series (D1GP),” a drift competition opening at the Okuibuki Motorpark on Thursday, July 23, 2020.

TOYO TIRE has formed its own team, “Team TOYO TIRES DRIFT” to compete in the D1GP from 2007 and has won the multiple championships until now. In 2020, the car graphic is redesigned to cooperate with new TVCF “Ignite Your BLUE” and emphasizing our brand color, BLUE.
For the 2020 D1GP series, we again invite Masato Kawabata, Hideyuki Fujino and Daychapon Toyingcharoen as our team drivers. The drivers and Team TOYO TIRES DRIFT crews will battle hard throughout the planned 8-stage series and try to win another championship.
TOYO TIRE is also providing tire support to the teams that is expecting an outstanding performance at D1GP.
Yukio Matsui, a driver for “Team RE Amemiya K&N” is one of the illusionists in the D1GP series.
Hokuto Matsuyama, an employee in TOYOTA corporation, with backup from the company he will be participating in D1GP as a driver in “FAT FIVE RACING.”
In addition, TOYO TIRE is also tire supporting “EVANGELION Racing,” the official racing team of global famous animation “EVANGELION.” The team will partially participate in D1GP with “EVA RT TEST TYPE-01 GR Supra” which is co-custom tuned with “Oreda! Racing,” a well experienced team in D1GP and one of Team TOYO TIRES DRIFT crews.
